Combe Family Missionary Update

February 28, 2010

Family News:  My uncle was found alive and is doing well!  We do not know the particulars other than he is safe and sound back home.  Your prayers made the difference.  Praise the Lord!

Chloe, Leah and Mary are enjoying their home schooling and are excited to finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.  I just hope it isn’t the light of an oncoming train.

Ministry News:  After much red tape, we finally have Mexican license plates on our 1992 Ford van at a cost of $400.00.  Now we will work to acquire valid driver’s licenses for the men of our ministry.  American vehicles that are 2000 and older can be legalized in Mexico.  This law allows for a good used vehicle resale market in Mexico of at least 10 years.

Since our last update we have led 94 souls to Christ and with three following the Lord in Bible baptism.  Amen and Amen!  For many who follow the Lord in Bible baptism it means certain scorn and betrayal from their families.

On Wednesday nights we meet for prayer. It is very intriguing that one of the disciple’s requests of our Lord was to teach them to pray.  Our converts are believers of prayers that are full of faith.  It is indeed touching to hear them cry out to God for the salvation of loved ones.  God answers prayer!  We must believe that He will!

This year’s theme is Luke 10:2, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few:  pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send froth laborers into his harvest.”  It rhymes in Spanish, “Obreros a Su Mies en 2010”.  It means “Laborers to the Harvest in 2010”.  The very next word in verse 3 is “Go”!

After we pray for the lost loved ones we go visit them and gently give them the Bible plan for eternal life.  Many have been saved.  Last week one lady whom we were praying for was saved in the hospital and two days later went to Heaven.  Even though she was in tremendous pain, everyone at the hospital testified that she was so happy and died with a smile on her face.  Somebody say Amen!

Please continue to pray for the abandoned piece of property we mentioned in our last update.  For over 4 ½ years we have paid approximately $1,000.00 for rent every month.  If we could secure this property it would make better use of God’s money. Your prayers could be the difference.
